Has anyone used woodworm before?  If so, what has been your experiences?

I have read that it was used in beer brewing to enhance flavoring of the beer.  My question among many; is this adviseable to attempt; and is the risk worth the reward?

It's Wormwood. And it's the most foul, bitter taste you will ever put to your tongue. Don't waste your time or your brew. Seriously, I have made that mistake. If you have some already, take a tiny little bit and put it on your tongue, then decide if that taste that's making you want to puke that you can't get out of your mouth is something you would want in a beer.

And secondly, it doesn't do anything fun like what you've read about. If you do it, and can get past the taste and down a bunch of wormwood brew, you will end up disappointed, finding out that all the fun stuff you've heard is just bull****.

Not being one to put things that taste like vomit in my mouth, I appreciate your opinion on this.  I have read in the past, that it was used to flavor beer a long time ago and was asking if anyone had tried it before.  BTW, I realize it is wormwood and not a wooden worm....My mistake.

Thanks for the advise...no poop flavored beer...noted.

Isn't the "fun stuff" you speak of actually "shrooms" that were consumed while partaking of the Absinthe?

I heard the "fun stuff" was made up to get absinthe made illegal, for political reasons. Some of the famous people who were known to drink it weren't liked by some of the politicians. Don't know if that's true, but I have heard from many sources that it doesn't and never did do anything that drinking any other alcoholic beverage does.

The French wine industry was getting creamed by the absynthe makers because they made a better product at a better price. A smear campaign was initiated, and the wine industry, who had many friends and owners in parliment won... hence, the mildly intoxicating wormwood was outlawed.

Much like the reefer madness craze in the 50s....those teens hopped up on dope are just going crazy and murdering every one they see after a puff on a marijuana cigarette.

As for woodworm? never saw it... but i would listen to Beef's advice above.

EDIT*** -and send me one of those lsd beers.....lol
